Hand Felted Alpaca

Contrary to what you sometimes hear, 100% alpaca can be felted but it is not as easy to felt as, say, Merino wool. I did the above piece of felting as an experiment. Since I am not an experienced felter, it didn't come out great. Still, it's a good way to use up pieces of fleece that are too short or weak to be spun into yarn. This little guy will be a Christmas ornament.
