The fingerless glove above was knit from commercially processed alpaca yarns but the light blue and pink yarns were Merino wool. Since I cannot hand spin enough alpaca yarn to fill my booth at the Sheep & Wool Festival, I often buy commercially spun yarns in bulk and re-sell them. I feel that it's important to try these out myself by knitting and wearing them to make sure that they are what my customers want. I wear these gloves a lot and they have held up really well. They are quite warm but fine enough that they don't feel bulky. The pattern above is from the book, "The Art of Fair Isle Knitting" by Ann Feitelson. I was lucky enough to take class with her at the MD Sheep & Wool Festival a few years ago.
