The Mount Airy Alpaca Company is owned by Tom and Kate Perez. We have sold alpacas and alpaca fleeces in Mount Airy, Maryland for 9 years. Note: Many of you are aware that we have stopped breeding alpacas due to a serious health problem in our family. For now, we will concentrate on selling our alpaca care DVD and we do advertise alpacas for sale or alpaca herdsires for breeding here on our website. You will also find a history of our farm.

We made our alpaca care DVD (along with our partners from Alpacas of Sunset Fields) so that we could continue to do the mentoring that we always considered important to ensure the success of our alpaca buyers. This DVD has chapters on alpaca shearing, the set up and adjustment of shearing equipment, alpaca breeding, cria birth and neonatal care, drawing blood, worming, teeth trimming and much more along with voice over narration to guide new owners through each topic.

What our alpaca care DVD does not have is any marketing baloney!
