Jackie's Jaymee black alpaca

Jaymee is a solid black Huacaya. Her Sire, Acero Marka's Sergio was highest selling Suri male in the history of the Alpaca Industry and won 1st Place Black Adult Suri Fleece, 1999 AOBA National Show. Her dam, Jackie, is a gorgeous grey Suri. She has a beautiful "hand," very soft, as expected from a Huacaya out of two Suri parents.

Many new alpaca breeders don't realize that the Suri alpaca phenotype is dominant over the Huacaya alpaca phenotype.  This means that two, seemingly Suri alpacas can produce a Huacaya alpaca if both of those Suri parents were part Huacaya.  Because the recessive Huacaya genetics won out in the above pictured alpaca, she is completely Huacaya.
