This is my "take to fairs" wheel, an Ashford Kiwi.
Today I spent a couple of hours carding alpaca fleece and doing a little hand spinning of those, now carded, rovings. I will post photos of what I'm taking about when the work is done and the skein is spun (good rhyme huh?) Not that I have waited until the last possible moment to spin up the skeins I entered in the Great Frederick Fair Alpaca Show or anything. I still have a 2 weeks to get the fiber carded, skeins spun, do the plying and then washing and then hanging to dry - Uh Oh....
Meanwhile, back in the alpaca pack, Helen, who's girls Cocoa (soooo cute AND for sale!) and Cotton (ditto) were here being bred by my big romantic alpaca boys - See alpaca breeding entry: Here - now has her very own blog!!! Helen's Blog is: HERE
