Peruvian Challenger - Alpaca Herdsire

Peruvian Challenger was the sire of our alpaca girl, Jezebel.  If you look at her first cria, Gryffindor,  out of our herdsire, Campion, you can certainly see the resemblence to Peruvian Challenger. Please don't confuse this Challenger with Royal Peruvian Challenger who was the sire of our own rose gray alpaca herdsire, Nickleby. 

I, personally, found the "old style" clean faced alpacas far preferable to the wool blind Accoyo-style males that have been in fashion for the last several years.  To me, it's just stupid to purposely produce an alpaca that can't see well.  And who wants to shear or trim on the face?  Not me.
