100% Alpaca Hand Spun Sweater
This sweater was hand spun and knit from the fleece of my oldest male, Campion , but it is still quite fine and soft. I dyed the multicolored yarn for the stripes in a dyeing class at the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival with instructor, Carol Bodin.
The placement of said stripes could have been planned better but I wear this sweater a lot and it is Super warm.

Note the fit. So many "experts" will tell you that alpaca "grows" and it can't keep its shape unless it is mixed with wool. After many wearings and washings, this sweater has not changed in size or fit. The fuzzy, pilly look could be fixed with a sweater stone or shaver but, since it is worn mostly on the farm, it doesn't bother me.
